| Scam contents | I received an email from mteresarusso@agenzia.homes offering a long-term apartment rental in Cagliari, Italy. The person claims to be the owner and insists on completing the process via Booking.com, but does not provide any public listing link. She asks for €1,590 in advance (first month + deposit) before allowing any visit to the apartment. She says that after payment, the contract would be signed “in person” and the keys would be handed over, but she also claims she cannot be present in the city. This is a clear rental scam tactic: demanding payment upfront, using generic domains, and promising refunds and visits only after payment. |
| Comment / Review | The email is well-written but suspicious. The sender uses a non-verifiable domain (“agenzia.homes”), mixes up Booking and HousingAnywhere, and does not allow any apartment viewing before payment.
