Scam contentsThe link in the email I received takes you to a survey about Marks and Spencer and offers a free Afternoon Tea Hamper if you complete the survey. I did this and was asked to pay £1 for delivery. I gave the website my debit card details and they charged my account £1 which was approved by me through my banking app. Two days later the merchant Sapphire Ribbon Limited charged my account £53 but I was not asked to approve this transaction. My Bank refused the payment due to insufficient funds. I have complained to the bank but they can't tell me why the second unauthorised transaction was processed and if there had been sufficient funds in my account I would have lost £53. The scammer continues to try to take money from my account. To date there have been 6 further attempts totalling £293.
