| Scam contents | Spammy Eldercare scammers that are trying to take advantage of older individuals. |
| Comment / Review | Eldercare has observed a significant rise in reports regarding spammy fraudulent calls. These scammers pose as representatives from "Eldercare" and deceitfully request personal information such as Social Security numbers, banking details, or Medicare numbers. These scammers may also go to the extent of demanding payments and issuing threats of potential legal consequences, including jail time and fines. If you or someone you know, especially older adults, become targets of this scam or any other scheme that involves robocalls and calls from unknown numbers, don't hesitate to reach out to the Department of Justice's National Elder Fraud Hotline at 833-FRAUD-11 (833-372-8311). Be careful.
