| Scam contents | Pdf converter for small one-time fee actually leads to a "subscription" for 29.99 a month! It's not clear that paying the small fee automatically signs you up for a one-week "trial" that leads to the monthly charge, whether you cancel it or not. You have to cancel your credit card to stop the theft. |
| Comment / Review | This is a shameful scam. It's amazing this site has been in existance for three years and no one has done any to stop them. If you complain, you receive a canned response saying that it was made clear that paying for one use of the converter signs you up for the trial, which if you don't cancel it leads to the full subscription. But this is not made clear when you are choosing payment options for your use - it makes it look as though you can choose a single pay-as-you-go use without signing up for the trial. Plus, the Pdf converter doesn't even work.

I also fell for this. Not only is the signup page misleading, it is not clear on your bank records where the payment comes from, as it references idealpdf.
When you log in to your account on their website there is no way to even view or change your subscription or billing details. When I emailed them they said the only way to unsubscribe is to complete a form(!) and then return it to them. Completely dodgy.
When I asked for a refund they denied it
