Scam contentsI had received a private message by a person by the name of "Chief" on Discord, of which this person had offered to donate 0.717 BTC to me. To avoid repetition, the full message is included in the two .png files attached to this report. This fraudulent message was sent to me at 13:08 on the 15th of June 2020.
Comment / ReviewThis message was immediately suspicious, due to it's informal nature. I am a fairly new stock trader, but I have never heard of a brokering service initiating a "Giveaway" program, especially through communications of which are of similar formality to an SMS message. The frequent use of emoticons played a similar role in it's informality. As I began to explore what this message was truly engaging me to do, I swiftly sourced scambot.com, where I found the origin country (Panama) and age (created on the 2nd of June 2020, with an expiry date in mid-2021) of this website. These were only a few of the many distrustful details of the website, never-minding the lack of appropriate grammar and spelling in many areas on the site. I hope this message is able to both advise others of this potential scam, and to also initiate a sort of investigation into this matter. Thank you.
