Scam contentshrough the alleged "official" Instagram profile of Michael Burry — which has now been deactivated — many of us were persuaded to transfer money to a platform named SCIONFOLIO that used the name of Michael Burry and branding of Scion Asset Management.
The platform has since disappeared, along with the chat groups and communication channels that were used to deceive victims.
Comment / Reviewvictims were contacted through what appeared to be the official Instagram profile of Michael Burry and were later invited to apply to invest in Scion Asset Management.
Participants were encouraged to transfer funds to a platform named SCIONFOLIO operating under the name and branding of Scion Asset Management, creating the impression that the investment opportunity was legitimate and connected to the real company.
Users reported increasing difficulties withdrawing funds, delayed transactions marked as “pending,” pressure to deposit additional money, and disappearing support channels. The platform went offline, while associated chat groups and social media accounts were deleted or deactivated.
