The offer letter looked professional but included unusually high salary figures (CAD $15,226/month net), relocation perks, and a demand for my passport and personal documents before any interview or legal paperwork. Upon investigation, I found: The website domain is newly registered (Jan 2025) No legitimate company records or LinkedIn presence exist for either Work Ways Hiring or Craft Steel The contact phone number (+1 418-476-0598) is linked to suspicious activity No legitimate verification of employer identity was provided This appears to be a fraudulent recruitment scam designed to collect personal documents for identity theft or visa fraud. I have not shared my passport, but I wanted to report the incident so others can be warned.
