Scam contentsMarkus Darien Thersio, founder of Thersio Consultoria Ltda., pretended to be a licensed immigration lawyer in Rio de Janeiro. He offered legal services to help me (a foreign citizen) obtain a residence permit after the birth of my daughter in Brazil.

-After receiving over $1,800 USD in verified payments, he: Falsely claimed to be a lawyer and acted as my legal representative
-Contacted the opposing party (the child’s mother and her attorney) without my knowledge or consent
-Sent unauthorized messages in my name
-Refused to provide copies of these communications when requested

Failed to attend appointments with Brazilian Federal Police
Missed critical deadlines that compromised my legal status

Despite formal written requests, he continues to withhold all email and WhatsApp messages exchanged on my behalf. This is an ongoing case under review by the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro and a formal grievance has been submitted to the OAB (Brazilian Bar Association).
Comment / ReviewI strongly warn others: Do not trust Markus Thersio or Thersio Consultoria Ltda. He is not registered with the OAB. He acted without legal authority, caused irreparable harm to my legal process, and may have tampered with evidence. I am not the only victim.
