The point is to get you to a point where you keep sending money to the fake site (the scammers) because you believe you are gaining and investing on the platform... but it's all lies.

When the victim goes to try and withdraw their funds, the site or support will claim they need to add MORE money to do so. They'll claim they need to pay fees or taxes etc and can't take it out of the funds shown.

If you were lured in via a pretty face, you could be in a long con romance pig butchering scam. Google it - it's pretty popular scam with the origins from east Asia. She is hired model doing video or messages to lure you in, or just a scammer herself. There are also whole building compounds and scammer groups doing this overseas in Dubai or Cambodia etc.
