If you can cancel the subscription directly on their site, do so. Otherwise you might need to cancel your credit card to stop any unwanted charges.

Same thing (parking QR code) happened to me in June 2024 in Canmore, Alberta. I cancelled the subscription on their site, and trying via email to get refunded for 3 charges each of 9.99 USD.
Yes, I agree thievery by any other name.
