| Scam contents | An email from supposedly the Geek Squad (Best Buy) thanks me for renewing an annual security subscription, and $349.99 has been deducted from my account. (The email has the Geek Squad and Best Buy logos and a watermark indicating "Invoice.") The email goes on to say that if I believe the transaction to be unauthorized... and seek a refund, I have 24 hours to contact the Helpline at 1 877 326-2210. |
| Comment / Review | This official-looking email is supposedly from the Best Buy Geek Squad. The content, though, makes little sense. Needless to say, I did not call the phone number of the supposed Helpline. Do not fall for this scam.
