They intercepted a transaction between the BFI (British Film Institute) or possibly YouTube and my bank to fraudulently take 59.99 pounds from my credit card account.

This is definitely a scam. I had never heard of them. It's a clever scam first taking 1 pound to look genuine then taking the 59.99.
