| Scam contents | A Facebook user operating under the profile name "Trey Smith" advertised Ticketmaster concert tickets for sale. The seller provided screenshots claiming to show legitimate tickets and requested a 50% deposit through Apple Cash to phone number (775) 283-8189, promising to deliver the tickets after payment. | Comment / Review | We sent the requested 50% deposit through Apple Cash to (775) 283-8189. Immediately afterward, the seller stopped responding and blocked us. We never received the tickets. We later discovered another reported victim and screenshots showing a Ticketmaster ticket transferred to smithtrey925@gmail.com, which may be connected to the same scam operation. The Facebook account has approximately 4,200 followers and 2,500 posts but appears to have been inactive for about a year. We suspect the account may have been hacked, so we cannot confirm that the original profile owner is responsible. WARNING: Be cautious of Ticketmaster ticket offers involving this phone number. Do not send advance payments through Apple Cash to unverified sellers. We are reporting this incident to help prevent additional victims.
