In this case, they claim to want to use it as a project for the "Palm Spring Modernism Show" Fake URL: palmspringsmodernismshow.com The scammer will want to PAY you, usually $500 and claim "sorry it's not too much" :( The scammer then gets you in contact with a fake manager or sponsor that they say will send a e-check (mobile check) and get you to deposit it via your online banking. Will usually ask for your banks name (to avoid having the fake check be from the same bank) This is a FAKE CHECK scam. The fake check will usually be over asking, and they want you to send money back once you deposit the check to your bank. The bank won't catch it fake till later, so it may look like it "cleared" in your account and is fine. The money is only there temp, due to bank laws. Scammers take advantage of this time and get you to send money to them/another party. You send it, then you're responsible for the money sent.
