| Scam contents | "Don't lose hope, I got my money back with the help of..." — that opening line is the oldest trick in the recovery room playbook. Behind it is the account "whitelettuce", reachable at writecreditconvo@gmail.com. What those messages say: "Unfortunately I blindly fell for this con artist after I received a text from her randomly. I told her she texted a wrong number and she apologized but kept the chat going. She led me to investing via her uncle's crypto platform which I…" The pattern never changes. The "service" is contacted via WhatsApp or Telegram, asks for an upfront fee first, then a copy of an ID and bank details. Once it is paid, nothing is recovered and the conversation stops. If you have already lost money to a fake investment platform, do not pay anyone who promises to get it back. No legitimate recovery asks for a fee in advance. Keep your evidence, talk to your bank and report the case. |
