Comment / Review	Initial call came from number provided. Stated that U.S. Marshals and Customs Control at the Mexican border were investigating identity theft associated with my name and home address. The identity theft was connected with narcotics activities they said. I told the caller to send me everything in writing and hung up when they continued to harass me. After a couple of minutes I received a follow-up call, supposedly from my local police department (they spoofed the number), stating they had just received a fax from the U.S. Marshals detailing my association with illegal narcotics activity at the Mexican border. I again told them to send me everything in writing and hung up on them as they proceeded to threaten me with arrest. Immediately after the call I called my local police department to verify that they had made the call, and they said that they had not. They told me that most likely it was a scam and the caller had spoofed the police department phone number (the numbers did match).
