Texted me pretending to be my pastor. Knew my name and said they needed help with to buy gift cards for women battling cancer. Said they couldn’t call because they were in a meeting.

I'm a minister; our youth minister got a message from this number purporting to be from me, asking she get in touch to assist with something.

A member of parish got a text from this number saying needed to ask something. Signed with the cheesy peace n blessings and full title and name of priest. Which he wouldn't do. They text back n forth regularly. They must be skimming websites for names n phone numbers from bulletins uploaded, etc. Sad days. But anything posted with parishioners contact numbers can be skimmed by hand or bots.
