| Comment / Review | Claimed to be Scotiabank with issues with my credit card payment. They knew my name. Whether it was coincidence that I had just made a payment to my card the day before or not I don't know, but this phone number is not affiliated with Scotiabank, and they are requesting banking information. Internet search says this number has been actively scamming people for nearly 2 years - how is it not shut down? Is there any authority that can deal with this??

First text messages, next phone calls, black sedan followed me to a AtM Canada Trust and my card was retained, next more phone calls, text messages and a letter asking me to pay full amount of my visa balance. The name used was Prevost V.P. Scotiabank. There was a customer behind me who approached the black sedan and then the car sped away.
