If it's from a website, try to contact their customer support and see if you can cancel with them. If you can't contact them, then contact the phone on the back of your credit card or contact your bank to dispute or cancel the charges. If they were fraudulent and made without your permission contact the bank's fraud department.
Some sites aren't as transparent with their subscriptions. Like for example, saying it's $1 but with a free trial for 7 days. Then after, you agree to subscribe to their services for the full amount/per month - then it's charged automatically. These are usually stated in the term of service.
