PayPal resolution center decided in my favor and I received a full refund. Took 3 weeks. I urge anyone taken by this scam to immediately file a claim with PayPal. Include screen-caps like I did.
Also: as soon as my resolution was decided, i received several suspicious emails saying my PayPal account had been locked out and I needed to send my info to some anonymous link. Hmm... nice try.
