| Scam contents | ok so basically this site tells you it can check how much your epic account is worth. sounds cool right? logged in, and then it asks for a second verification code. i thought ok whatever, two factor stuff. then i actually read the email from epic instead of just grabbing the code. and thats when i saw it - that code isnt for logging in. its the code epic sends when you CHANGE THE EMAIL ADDRESS on the account. they were literally about to transfer my account to themselves right in front of me lol. changed my password instantly. if you get asked for a "verification" code by any site like this, read the actual email first. always. they almost got me and i consider myself pretty careful with this stuff. |
