| Scam contents | I wanted to replace my old robot vacuum before my daughter came to stay with the grandchildren in the summer holidays, so I spent a good while comparing prices online. This shop came up with what looked like a proper discount on a decent model, almost half price. They had reviews from people in London, Birmingham, Manchester - normal reviews, the kind you skim without really reading. I ordered on the 4th of August. Money left my account straight away of course. Then nothing. After ten days I wrote to ask when it would dispatch and the email bounced back. The address didnt exist. That was when I went back and actually READ the reviews properly and realised they were all suspiciously similar, just names and cities with no real detail. I contacted my bank and they have opened a dispute for me. The grandchildren got a robot vacuum from Argos in the end, which arrived in two days and works fine. I wish I had gone there first and saved myself the hassle. |
