| Scam contents | Very elaborate scam. 'Husband' Dr Richard Harding books a hotel with another woman ('Laura') and offers to book another room in the same hotel for a night with his wife 'Abigail' ('Rusty'). 'Rusty' leaves convincing voice messages telling you to expect a call from Richard. He calls you and asks for payment of the room fee to Clydesdale Bank ( 82 68 37) account number 30552126. When you arrive at the hotel there is no record of his booking. The amount he asks for is EXACTLY the amount that hotel charges for that night. Seems a lot of effort merely for the price of a hotel night, but c'est la vie. |
